How do I release a licence?

To release an UpdraftPlus, WP-Optimize or All-In-One Security licence from a website, uninstall the premium plugin and wait for a period of 30 days.

After 30 days have elapsed, login to the TeamUpdraft website and visit the licences page.  Here you can select which licence you wish to release.  After clicking the reset link, your licence will no longer be assigned and you can use it on another site of your choice.

If you encounter any difficulties, for example you don’t see a reset link or you no longer have access to uninstall the plugin, please contact our support team and we will be happy to assist you.

Why do I have to wait 30 days?

We currently have a 30-day waiting period for customers to self-release licences.  The reason for this is to prevent customers purchasing e.g. a single site license and then assigning and reassigning it across more than one WordPress website.

Can I reset my licence sooner?
