How to use caching in WP-Optimize
With the WP-Optimize cache feature, you can reduce your site’s loading time in just a few clicks.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to using it.
1. Enable caching
- Go to WP-Optimize >> Cache
- Click the Cache tab
- Click the Enable page caching button
2. Choose your cache settings
- To create a separate cache for mobile devices tick the Generate separate file for mobile devices option.
- If you have user specific or restricted content on your site tick the Serve cached pages to logged in users option.
- Input your chosen Cache lifespan.
- Click Save changes.
3. Preload the cache
- Click the Preload tab.
- Click the Run Now button.
- Input your chosen Cache lifespan to specify how long you want the cache to last.
- Click Save changes.
4. Schedule preloading
- Tick Activate scheduled cache preloading.
- Choose schedule type to determine the frequency of preloading.
- Click Save changes.
5. Add cache exclusions
- Click the Advanced settings tab.
- Enter paths you wish to exclude in URLS to exclude from cache >> List paths.
- Enter cookies you wish to exclude in cookies to exclude from cache >> List of cookies that will prevent caching when set.
- Enter browser agent strings to exclude in List of browser agent strings to exclude from cache >> Lost of browser agents or substrings that should not be served cached files.
- Click Save changes.
6. Enable Gzip compression
- Click the Gzip compression tab.
- Click the Enable button.
7. Add browser static file caching settings
- Click the Static file caching tab.
- Set the expiration time.
- Click the Update button.
